Masters Of Minecraft - The Awakening (A minecraft novel)

My son is an 11 year old 6th grader, and he loves anything related to video games. He is required to read every day for school, but getting him to do so is an interesting task. I only wish that the Minecraft novels were listed on the AR lists for grade school children, its never difficult to get him to read those.

Once I told my son that I bought him another Minecraft novel, he wanted to start reading it right away. This story is not quite as short as the last one that he read, so he was pleasantly surprised to have more to read. Plus as an added bonus, he shares his name with one of the main characters.

The good news? I can use letting him read in the Minecraft novel as a reward for doing the reading that he needs to do. Plus, he's reading more, so its a win/win.

My son's favorite part of the book is the inclusion of some of the famous characters that he knows both from playing the game, and watching Minecraft videos on YouTube. Sky has been one of his favorites to watch on YouTube and he enjoys the part that the Sky character plays in the book.

Thank you for the great story and sparking the love of reading for my son. Now he knows that he enjoys reading, as long as he chooses books that he holds an interest in.

My recommendation for Masters of Minecraft - The Awakening: This book is for anyone who enjoys playing Minecraft, and the more familiar you are the better. The novel may be confusing or less enjoyable for someone not familiar with the game in his opinion.

Wildcats Everybody Loves Baby Myshayo

My children and I enjoyed Wildcats Everybody Loves Baby Myshayo by Julia M Busch. Its a very cute story of little Myshayo and his family of beautiful cats. The story is cute and adorable for young kids, yet still enjoyed for adults and children of all ages.

Having a bengal cat at home, we enjoy seeing all the different variations of domestic cats with wild heritage. I asked my family to pick their favorites, here is what they said:

11 yr old son – Myshayo the Geoffroy (So cute and sweet)

15 yr old daughter – Raji the Bengal (Love his colors)

My favorite – Greggie the Savannah (Remarkable colors and personality)

Husbands favorite – Chinny the Chausie (Soulful eyes)

Minecraft: The Chronicles of Herobrine (Minecraft books)

If you are looking for great Minecraft stories for your children, this one is a must read. Now, my son is hooked, so I am sure that this is only the first of many to come, as far as Minecraft stories go.

I purchased this Minecraft short story for my 11 year old son, who by the way is not into reading. But, he is very into Minecraft. My son typically only reads when he has to, so he will usually only pick the books that will get him credit at school (on the AR reading lists).

I was a little concerned that he wouldn’t read this book at first because he would have to read it on his own time, and in addition to his required reading. Well, I was pleasantly surprised that he was not only willing to read this book right away, but he did not put it down until he finished it. He was even a little more than annoyed when his battery was low so he had to stop reading long enough to plug in his kindle.

Thank you for such a great book! And my son did want me to include that he really enjoyed the photos that were included. He thought it was a pretty neat story, and it was additionally neat to have the Minecraft screenshots as a part of the story.

My recommendation for Minecraft: The Chronicles of Herobrine: If you are interested in Minecraft, this is a book that you will love right from the beginning. However, the story stands alone and can also be of interest to children that have not yet experienced Minecraft. If you are looking for a quick and easy read to entertain your son or daughter, this is the one! Especially if your son or daughter is interested in video games.
